Montelier began in the Netherlands with two founders, a shared appreciation for eyewear and the ambition to build something of their own.
In 2024, that ambition became a vision. We had no established name or generations of history behind us. What we had was a clear idea of how we wanted our brand to feel, and the determination to bring it to life.
In 2025, Montelier officially launched.
Our starting point was personal: a pair of sunglasses can change how you carry yourself. The right frame becomes part of your expression — something you reach for naturally, something that feels like you.
That feeling continues to guide Montelier.

Every pair of Montelier sunglasses begins with carefully selected materials. From stainless steel frames to Dutch-engineered hinges and lightweight TAC lenses, each element is chosen for its strength, comfort and refined finish.
02 · Form & construction
Bringing each frame together.
Each Montelier frame brings together stainless steel, flexible spring-loaded hinges and lightweight TAC lenses. The steel provides strength and structure, while the hinges help reduce pressure at the temples. Carefully finished details unite these elements in a frame designed for everyday comfort and a clean, refined look.

Every pair of Montelier sunglasses is handcrafted and individually inspected, component by component. From the alignment of the frame to the movement of the hinges and the finish of the lenses, each detail is checked to ensure everything fits together and works as it should.
